THE BRADWELL CONSPIRACY UX/UI DESIGN
The UI brief was to ensure it reflects the branding, is minimalist and cohesively embedded into the game universe. I also adapted the UI for touch screen devices in keeping with branding and functionality.
Game menus
UI basics and in-game communication
The player character wears AR Smart Glasses called ‘The Guide’, which shows important game play information to the player. The brief here was to create an in-game HUD that both looks like an AR smart glass but also communicates what the player needs to play the game. ‘The Guide’ also provides the only way to communicate with the game’s main character: The functionality to take and send photographs to her.
Object interaction
Some of the objects in the game are made of ‘programmable matter’ or ‘Substance’. The player eventually comes into possession of ‘The Substance Mobile Printer’ (SMP), a device that lets them ‘print’ and ‘reclaim’ items - provided they have enough substance and the required item blueprint. Interacting/hovering-over objects needed to show: The item’s name, the amount of substance and if the blueprint can be obtained.

AR Guide Infoscreen Design
The Activity Feed tracks the dialogue and important events and displays instruction photos sent to the player.
